All Saints Church: service on Sunday, January 19 will be holy communion at 10.30am.

Household Waste: collection at Spofforth will be on Tuesday, January 21.

Spofforth Seniors: coffee morning will be on Tuesday, January 21 from 10-11.30am in The Long Memorial Hall.

A reminder: that Christmas wreathes will removed from the churchyard at the end of January.

Spofforth Cricket Club: will be hosting an evening with Mark Arthur, the new chief executive officer of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club on Monday, January 20. It is one of a series of such events Mark is holding throughout the county at which he hopes to form a much stronger link between the county club and the local leagues. He will also have with him Martyn Moxon, the county’s director of cricket, and two current players, yet to be named. The event will start at 7.30pm in the clubhouse and will include a question and answer session with Mark and Martyn; a pie and pea supper and a cricket quiz all for the minimal cost of just £5.
