Spofforth in Bloom: the chairman, David Saunders writes: On the morning of Tuesday, September 17 we will find out the results of our efforts at the Yorkshire in Bloom awards ceremony. On the same evening commencing at 7.30pm we will be having a get together in the Long Memorial Hall to announce the result. This is an open invitation to all volunteers, sponsors and anyone that have helped Spofforth In Bloom in any way, to join us for a celebratory drink (whatever the result). We would also give a big welcome to anyone that would wish to become involved in the future. Just a reminder that our next fund raising event is a talk by Martin Fish who is director of Harrogate Flower Show and is also a radio and television horticultural expert. The event will be held in the Long Memorial Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 25. Tickets that will cost £5 (to include tea, coffee, cold drinks & biscuits) can be purchased from G & M News, the Hairbelle and from any of the Spofforth in Bloom committee.
