AN OPEN farm event is to be this Sunday to give people the chance to see what life is like on a working farm.
Birchfield Farm in Summerbridge is one which will be opening its doors to the public to show how farmers grow their food and care for the countryside.
There will be ice-cream and butter making demonstrations, animals including pigs, cows, sheep, chickens and ducks, a rabbit and guinea pig paradise and woodland walks.
There is also a bird feeding area, nature trails, the chance to make you own bird box, pig handling, digger and bobcat handling demonstrations.
Admission is free and refreshments will be on sale, from home-made Gloucestershire Old Spot sausages, burgers, their own Jersey ice cream, homemade scones with their own clotted cream and drinks.
