Slideshow: Youngsters take to pool for group gala
More than 350 children from all five swimming pools in the district took part in 38 events in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Swimmers from across the five swimming pools in the district have the opportunity to experience the excitement of competing at an early age.

Hide AdChildren as young as five years old have the chance to race against others in the event.
The Colour Group Gala is the pinnacle of the Swimming Development Scheme and the number of entries continues to increase.
Lynn McCrystal, schools swimming co-ordinator and event organiser, said: “The spectator gallery was full to capacity and the cheer and support from parents and families was tremendous.
“We were also treated to a spectacular diving display from Harrogate District Diving Club, whose novice divers, age group and coaching team executed some extremely difficult dives to rapturous applause.

Hide Ad“The swimmers had a fantastic time and all participants received a Zoggs goodie bag and certificate.”
The Mayor and Mayoress of Harrogate, Coun Nigel Simms and Lynn Simms, attended the event and presented medals to third, second and first places in all colour groups.
Jeanette Packwood, area manager for economy and culture, was also present to award medals and cheer the swimmers along.
