Harrogate in Bloom handed out its annual awards at a glittering Old Swan Hotel ceremony.
Guests including Mayor of Harrogate Coun Mike Newby and Yorkshire in Bloom Chairman Brendan Mowforth attended to see former RHS Harlow Carr curator Lizzie Balmforth present the awards.
Harrogate in Bloom secretary Angela Henson said: “It was a very good day, and well-attended event.
“Patrick Kilburn, of Harrogate Borough Council, talked about how the problem last year was the wet weather, and how this year he and his team had struggled with warm weather.
“The last two years have been a nightmare for them.
“The awards were sponsored by Transdev.
“We maintain the bus station gardens in return.”
Harrogate in Bloom used the ceremony to show more people their Tour de Plants route map, produced ahead of the district’s July hosting of the first stages of the Tour de France.
The map, which provides details of gardens of interest across the Yorkshire route, is available online.
Organisers thanked the Old Swan Hotel and Transdev.
