Thousands braved stormy weather on Saturday night to enjoy Harrogate’s bonfire and fireworks extravaganza on the Stray.
Lightning and rain set in across the town at 5pm, and families were forced to wrap up to deal with single figure temperatures on the night.
The Harrogate Round Table-organised event raised over £4,700 for charities St Michael’s Hospice and the Harrogate branches of Epilepsy Action and Lifeline.
Rob Swales of Round Table said: “It was a very successful event despite the weather, and we would like to thank everyone who came out.
“We raised £4,700 and, despite the weather, we are really proud and pleased.
“We thank the people of Harrogate for turning out to support the event.”
It is understood the weather took its toll on attendance at the event, with total numbers unclear.
People attending the event took to social networking site Twitter.
