Two elderly people were left needing hospital treatment after a three-vehicle crash on Skipton Road on Sunday.
A Honda Civic, a Mini Cooper and a Toyota Auris all collided on the A59, next to the Knox Avenue junction, at around 3.30pm.
Traffic built up as police completely blocked the road to investigate the crash before reopening it just over an hour later.
The two elderly occupants of the Toyota were taken to Harrogate hospital for treatment. None of the injuries were life threatening but the passenger was left with a fractured sternum.
