Serious fire at home on Avenue Grove in Harrogate

Residents in Starbeck were evacutated from their homes after emergency services attended a blaze at a property onAvenue Grove last night, Thursday.

The fire was reported to North Yorkshire Police at around 8.20pm and teams from both North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A cordon was put in place while nearby residents were told to vacate their properties.

North Yorkshire Police said two people were being treated for smoke inhalation and there are no reports of any further injuries at this time.
