A second man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Harrogate's Pinewoods.
The 25-year-old, from the Harrogate area, was arrested and questioned on Friday morning (February 19), before being released on bail later that evening.
Both this man and the man arrested last Wednesday (February 17) remain on police bail while the investigation continues.
Police are continuing to seek further information and witnesses in relation to the assault which happened at around 4am last Tuesday (February 16).
The teenager was grabbed by three men in the town’s Valley Gardens and was taken to a wooded area near Harlow Moor Road, where she was subjected to a serious sexual assault.
Detectives are continuing to appeal to the public for information.
