Our adult to pupil ratio is 1:5 which puts the 22 children in the privileged position of having daily personalised support - particularly in core English and maths skills.

Children regularly come together to take part in whole school events such as baking, themed days, sporting activities, paired reading, circle times and swimming. Our next big adventure is a whole school visit to Bradford Alhambra for the national production of Joseph.

The children have the benefit of living and learning in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the use of the outdoors is a huge part of their education.

Links with Bewerley Park provide specialist adventurous activities which are offered free of charge.

Federation with St Cuthbert’s C of E Primary School is imminent following two successful years of collaboration.

Benefits to both schools have been seen in shared sporting events, after school clubs, social events and learning experiences.

As the federation develops, wider opportunities will ensue.

Our school serves the Upper Nidderdale communities of Lofthouse, Middlesmoor, Ramsgill and beyond. Strong links with our local secondary school, Nidderdale High mean that transition is seamless.

We have staff and families that care deeply about the children, the community and each other.

This care permeates through the school and visitors always comment on the unique feel, the stunning backdrop and the richness of resources on offer.

A visit is an ideal way to discover this for yourself.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to see the school in action.
