Rugby legend Mike Catt visits St John Fisher School
England and Lions rugby union legend Mike Catt OBE spent a morning with Year 7 and 8 students at St John Fisher School recently.
Part of the famous World Cup winning team in 2003, Mike Catt won 75 caps for England over a 13 year international career.
He spoke to the Fisher students about attitude, skills, talent, fitness, size and weight mean little if the attitude is wrong.
Rob Pritchard, Head of St John Fisher School, a qualified coach who helps out at Wetherby RUFC and coaches the Year 7/8 team, welcomed Mr Catt.
“It was inspirational to have a former British Lion in school coaching us.
“This is someone who has played and coached at the very highest level over many years. The boys loved it, as did I.”
Mike added: “Mr Pritchard knows what he is doing.”
