Roadworks to be in place across the region next week

Highways chiefs have announced a number of a planned roadworks that will be in place on motorways across the region next week.

The following roadworks by Highways England, which said it aims to cause as little disruption as possible, will be in place next week between Monday October 5 and Sunday October 12:

M621 Junction 1 Beeston

The anticlockwise carriageway will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday October 5 at junction 1 for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 Junction 2 Elland Road

The clockwise entry slip road will be closed for maintenance works on Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11. The closures will take place between 5am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 Junction 32 Castleford

The eastbound side of the carriageway will be closed between the slip roads for bridge works for two nights from Monday October 5. The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 Junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday October 5 for five nights.

M1 Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. The southbound side of the motorway will be closed between junction 39 to junction 40 for six nights from Monday October 5. The northbound exit slip road at junction 41 will be closed for two nights on Wednesday October 7. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 32 Thurcroft to Junction 33 Catcliffe

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Thursday October 8. The southbound exit slip road at junction 32 will be closed overnight on Friday October 9. The southbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Friday 9 October. The southbound exit slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Wednesday October 7. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 34 Tinsley to Junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The northbound side of the motorway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 34 overnight on Thursday October 8. The northbound exit slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Thursday October 8. The southbound side of motorway will be closed between the slips at junction 34 overnight for two nights on Wednesday October 7. The southbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Wednesday October 7. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M Junction 37 Blyth

The northbound entry slip road will be closed for patching works overnight for three nights from Monday October 5. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M Junction 36 Warmsworth

The northbound entry slip road will be closed for electrical works for four nights from Monday October 5. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A616 Newton Chambers to Westwood

The eastbound and westbound side of the A road will be closed between Westwood and Newton Chambers for surfacing works from Friday October 9 for two nights.

A61 Westwood Roundabout

The eastbound and westbound side of the A road will be closed between Westwood and Wentworth Way for roundabout improvement works from Monday October 5 for four nights. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
