Pupils jam it up for school screen cash

First there was Tad Gram Style, the spoof on Gangnam Style for Children in Need, now it's Tad Jam Style to raise £1,500 for a brand new Screen printing room for the Art Faculty at Tadcaster Grammar School.

Handmade in Yorkshire by a small company in York called The Fruity Kitchen, Tad Jam has been lovingly prepared by them and is also the jam of choice for top hotels and delicatessens in the area.

Following a taste testing session by the students as the Creative Enterprise Group, they chose Tad Jam as the product name, designed the logo and are also responsible for presenting the product for sale. With six different flavours and priced at £2.50 for a pack of three small jars or one large jar, these beautifully wrapped jams make ideal gifts or just to keep for yourself.

“Take a simple idea, add a spoonful of creativity to produce a profitable (and delicious) final product, that’s what the Creative Enterprise Group is all about,” said Emma Lattimore, Head of the Art Faculty. “Watch out Alan Sugar,” she warned.

Tad Jam is available from Tadcaster Grammar School and there are lots of other ideas in the pipeline too, to be introduced over the forthcoming months, which will ensure the students reach that target for the Screen printing room.
