Lively debate at Harrogate's first hustings

The event took place at Harrogate Grammar School this morning, Monday, with the four parties in attendance.

Hide AdThe hustings was closed to the public and was organised for Year 13 pupils at the school, many of whom will be able to vote in the upcoming election.
A student from the school, Tyler Reeton, took part as a representative for Labour candidate Mark Sewards who was unable to attend due to teaching commitments.
Andrew Jones (Conservative), Judith Rogerson (Lib Dem) and Kieran George (Yorkshire Party) also attended, with all speaking for three minutes before answering audience questions.

The main topics included party policies on Brexit, as well as climate change issues and funding for the health service and transport systems.
