Tockwith residents vow to fight on against homes
The proposals were deferred by Harrogate Council’s Planning Committee on Tuesday January 28.
TRA chairman Peter Pozman said: “We’re not downhearted. Developers, Mulgraves, have been told to come back with a less dense, and more sympathetic plan.

“The developers should be more open to meaningful consultation with the village stakeholders regarding conservation character, village infrastructure challenges such as drainage, sewage, traffic congestion, accidents, and school and surgery capacity.”
Historic England, the Campaign For The Protection Of Rural England and the Parish Council also oppose the project.
District Councillor Norman Waller said: “The village has currently over 160 houses which have planning permission yet to be built.
“Tockwith is more than playing its part in contributing to the housing needs of the district.”
