Conservatives hold Pateley Bridge seat.

In Pateley Bridge Conservative John Fort held onto his seat at North Yorkshire County Council with 55 per cent of the vote.

Coun Fort won 1288 votes with UKIP taking second place by 53 votes.

UKIP’s Ruth Whiteside won 466 votes compared to the Liberal Democrat candidate, Pete Flynn’s 413 votes.

Labour party candidate Stephen Boyden won 193 votes.

Harrogate Borough Councillor Helen Flynn, wife of the Lib Dem candidate asked Coun Fort if he could “get the roads sorted now.”
