Emergency services were called to a property on the High Street just before 1pm on November 28, where the woman in her 50s was found.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Her death is currently being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post-mortem.

"As with all sudden, unexplained deaths, officers needed to carry out an examination of the scene, and a scene guard was put in place to allow officers to do this."
