In pictures: Model citizen Molly supports charity ball

As part of the preparation for the final, the 18-year-old Harrogate woman took part in a charity ball at the Masonic Hall in Harrogate, helping to raise £1,800 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough.

Winning the Miss North Yorkshire title means this ex-Knaresborough High School student who lives in the Hookstone area of Harrogate will now progress to the Supermodel England national final in November.

There she will have the chance to win a national title to represent England at either the World Supermodel or the Top Model of the World international finals.

Molly, who also has modelling experience, said victory would enable her to do even more for her favourite charities.

She said: “Hearing my name over the microphone at the Miss North Yorkshire final made me feel extremely overwhelmed but proud at what I had achieved.

“I am feeling super excited for my year ahead as Miss North Yorkshire, especially working alongside different charities and be able to make a difference.“

Molly works at Nippers Nursery in Knaresborough and is doing an apprenticeship with children to get her NVQ level 3 qualification.

Her mother Clair is an sales administrator for Lookers Ford and Skoda Harrogate while father Gordon is an after sales performance manager for Nissan (GB) Ltd.

She has two brothers, eldest Oliver, 21 works for Mercedes Benz in Harrogate as a technician and younger brother jay, 16 is at school at King James’s in Knaresborough.

Molly said: “I want to make my county proud and be able to work towards representing my country in bigger

pageants.

“Ultimately, I would like to become a successful model where I can be a role model to others.”
