We settled in to our accommodation and gave passers by a surprise thanks to a quick rehearsal outside. We walked around Luchon and visited the local museums and restaurants and bars.

We joined groups from around the world performing in various spots for about 20 minutes each time. It was great fun watching other musicians including a colourful group from Columbia. Loud cheers from large crowds followed all our performances. The local dignitaries loved our rendition of On Ilkla Moor Baht’at!

What a day! We joined a parade around the town with other bands and gave the locals a taste of traditional British Brass Band marching. They loved it!

Sunday, August 24

After a concert in front of the town hall we joined the flower festival parade. Huge floral animations pulled by tractors. People get so excited they actually throw flowers at you!
