You won’t bee-lieve this picture of a Tour de France display bike

It may be almost one year since the magnificent Tour de France peloton rode through the streets of Harrogate but that hasn’t stopped the tourists swarming into town.

One local photographer couldn’t believe his eyes when he snapped an old bike, used for a Tour de France display, that had a bit of sting to it.

Tim Hardy was buzzing to capture the moment hundreds of bees descended on the seat of the bike before a beekeeper was called to handle the situation.

Thankfully, the bees beehived themselves when they were on the bike with no injuries being reported.

Hopefully, more insects who think they’re the bees knees visit Harrogate so we can comb through fantastic pictures of them.
