Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away "peacefully" at Windsor Castle this morning, Buckingham Palace announced. You can see the full statement here.Tributes have been pouring in, including one from Harrogate and Knaresborough MP, Andrew Jones.
Ripon MP Julian Smith said: "I am extremely sad that Prince Philip has died. I was privileged to meet him on a number of occasions as MP & as Vice Chamberlain. He was always engaged, passionate & had a fantastic sense of humour. We owe him so much for his commitment & decades of support to our Queen."
