Picture Special: Runners and spectators brave the rain for thrilling Knaresborough Bed Race

Thousands of spectators lined the rain-swept Knaresborough streets as they cheered on the runners at Saturday's annual Bed Race.

The rain failed to dampen their spirits as they first paraded around the town and then took part in the race, culminating in a swim across the River Nidd.
