Oasis of talk around coronavirus deaths and fears open to all

Boston Spa-based Oasis School of Human Relations has created a virtual café style conversation space to enable people to get together and talk about death and dying during the current pandemic.

The aim is to encourage anyone who has lost a loved one through Coronavirus, or anyone who is just feeling anxious about the prospect of death and dying, an opportunity to explore choices and wishes for themselves and their loved ones.

Oasis Associate Julie Barnes said: “We have found these conversations to be rich and rewarding opportunities to talk together about these essential questions, and for exploring thoughts and feelings.

“The loss of loved ones through the pandemic is devastating, but it can really help to open up and talk about it.”

“And if we are aware of what our loved ones would like to happen in relation to their own death, it is easier to be able try and put their wishes into place.”

Places will be limited to 20 people. The next cafe will be on May 14, 2-3.30pm. Contact [email protected] or phone Oasis on 01937 541700.
