A Kirk Deighton resident who will celebrate her 100th birthday on May 2 is looking forward to resuming her favourite pastime.

Once Covid-19 lockdown restrictions have been lifted, Mrs Frances Gwen Dick says she is looking forward to watching live streamed opera performances at Wetherby Cinema.

“In recent years Frances has greatly enjoyed the screenings at Wetherby Cinema and the live performances from The Royal Opera House,” said friend Lisa Everett.
