Major outdoors music shows at Ripley Castle this weekend is tonic for Harrogate music fans

Live music returned to the Harrogate district last night with a show by The Bootleg Beatles, who are pictured here outdoors at Ripley Castle.

The live performance by the world's biggest tribute act to the Fab Four was the first of four major shows under the banner Sounds in the Grounds, a series of live picnic concerts performed in the grounds of Ripley Castle.

The series of outdoors concerts sees audiences enjoying a line-up of internationally-renowned bands from their designated ‘picnic patch’ (available for two, four or six people), socially distanced from others but close enough to share the fun.

All concerts conform to PHE Covid-19 guidance.

These fully staged productions also come complete with LED screens.

The remaining Sounds in the Grounds shows run from tonight to Sunday.

The line-up is:

4TH SEPTEMBER – BEYOND THE BARRICADE

5TH SEPTEMBER – ABBA MANIA

6TH SEPTEMBER – A COUNTRY NIGHT IN NASHVILLE

The support act to each concert will be The New York Brass Band, guaranteed to get audiences on their feet for a night of superb live entertainment.
