5. Take in the Glow illuminations at Harlow Carr
Head to RHS Harlow Carr as dusk falls, as special lighting effects bring a touch of colour and magic to the garden. The lights show runs from November 21 December 28 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4.308pm, last entry 7pm.
6. Head to the Royal Hall for the Christmas Fanfare
The world famous Brighouse & Rastrick Band return to Harrogate's Royal Hall for their annual Christmas concerts at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on December 21.
7. Take the family to see the panto

8. Stroll around the Christmas Tree Trail at Fountains Abbey
Put on your warmest coat, grab a flask and head out to Fountains Abbey to take in the Christmas Tree Trail, as well as all the other festive activities on offer. You can also visit Santa and see the ruins all lit up.
