There are so many amazing things about living in Harrogate and after posing the question in the Harrogate Advertiser office on what makes us proud to live in the district, we came up with the following 15 reasons to be cheerful about being residents in our great town.
These are by no means exclusive and we'd love for you to come up with your own and let us know.
Have a great day in Harrogate!
1. The Stray
Other than the obvious current issue with the Stray, it can't be denied that this huge green space is one of the best things about living in our town, especially in spring when blossom fills the trees.
2. Valley Gardens
Valley Gardens is an amazing space right in the centre of our town and perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. It provides a great space for the 1940s day to take place and lots of beautiful nature.
3. Bettys
The quintessential tearoom, along with Taylors and Yorkshire Tea, is one of the staples of Harrogate. It doesn't get much more Harrogate than a pot of tea and a fat rascal watching the shoppers through the Bettys window.
4. A World Heritage site on our doorstep
We are so lucky in Harrogate to be surrounded by so much nature, and Fountains Abbey is an amazing World Heritage site which people travel from all over the country to visit.
