Research by Electric Ride on Cars looked at over 100 of the most populated towns and cities in the country and ranked them on factors including the number of 'outstanding' schools in the area, cost of a home and family-friendly attractions, as well as air quality and cost of private childcare.
Harrogate ranked in fourth place, with the average three bedroom house costing £338,837, a high percentage of outstanding schools at 17.82% and a safety rating of 79.93 out of 100 - the highest safety rating of all those included.
Lincoln came in at number one, followed by Norwich and Blackpool.
Other cities in the top ten include St Albans, Liverpool, Plymouth, Newcastle, Leicester and Portsmouth.
