A Harrogate family's impressive efforts in snow 'sculpture' has been causing passers-by to stop and stare or take a photo and passing cars to hoot their horns at the sight of a mighty snow man.

The Australian family are making a big impression, having only moved to Harrogate 18 months ago from Melbourne.

For anyone interested in challenging their claim that it is the tallest snowman in North Yorkshire, it's been measured at a mighty three metres - or 9ft 8' in height.
