Staff at HACS Construction Ltd, based in Ripley, are taking part in lots of events over the year to raise money for Saint Michael’s, including cake sales, casual dress days, a personal ‘Make it March’ challenge month, a company challenge of completing the Total Warrior 12k run, and a special anniversary party in November.

The fundraising, which started in January of this year, is aiming to raise £10,000 for the charity as part of HACS’ 35th anniversary year.

HACS, who are also members of the Saint Michael’s Guild of Patrons initiative, have chosen to raise money for the charity as many of its employees have a personal connection. Commercial Director Eddie Ashworth said: “We have always had Saint Michael’s close to our hearts, and as a local company with over 100 employees, many of our colleagues and their families have had experience and the benefit of services provided by Saint Michael’s.

“We’re proud to be raising money for Saint Michael’s – a vital local charity offering care and support to those living with terminal illness and bereavement – and we are looking forward to hitting our £10,000 target through our year of fundraising.”
