Estate agent branches out at town’s tree festival

Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Knaresborough based team has entered the town’s annual Christmas Tree Festival.

Businesses, families, schools and clubs have created decorated trees that are on display at St John’s parish church in the heart of the town.

The entry from Nick, Anita and Becky at Dacres - named The Tree House - is brightly lit and features hand painted wooden houses complete with miniature ‘for sale’ signs. It is on display, along with 49 other trees, until January 6.

All money raised from the St John’s Christmas Tree Festival will benefit the church and its chosen charity – Cancer Research.

Senior Associate and Knaresborough’s Branch Manager, Nick Alcock, said: “We have been entering this fantastic competition for since its inception years and it’s a real delight to see so many Knaresborough residents and local businesses making the time and effort to take part.

“Raising vital funds for charity and plenty of Christmas cheer at the same time is something we are very proud to be involved with.”

In addition to the 50 trees in the church, there are another 20 trees on display in shop windows and private homes throughout the town centre.

An online trail is also available for download, covering all 70 trees, and a timed entry system will enable safe access to the church.
