A stray cat which was found to be ‘riddled’ with shotgun shrapnel has found a happy ever after home in Tadcaster.

A stray cat which was found to be ‘riddled’ with shotgun shrapnel has found a happy ever after home in Tadcaster.

The three-year-old, nicknamed Dennis, had a mysterious limp when he was admitted to the Blue Cross in Thirsk.

Amy Younger, Operational Supervisor at Blue Cross in Thirsk said: “We all thought he had maybe been involved in a car accident or something – not deliberately attacked like this.”

All the shrapnel from the shotgun were removed, along with a large abscess on his neck, and he is starting a new life with a loving family in Tadcaster.
