But the World Heritage Site does still feature highly in a new list of popular attractions,

To work out each site's popularity, Sellhousefast.uk took more than 200 sites listed on the National Trust website.

The number of hashtags for each site, either by name or name followed by the words national trust, were then individually counted.

The top five most popular National Trust locations on Instagram

4. Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal: Ripon, North Yorkshire

5. Lyme: Stockport, Cheshire

As lockdown eases, the National Trust is introducing advanced booking at a limited number of its sites which are set to reopen from June 3.

To help manage visitor numbers and maintain safe, social distancing, all visitors must book in advance, even National Trust members.

The National Trust warns that anyone who doesn't book, will be turned away.
