Baking Feast: at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 23. The idea behind the event is to raise money for a team of doctor and nurses on a medical mission to Peru. When in Peru they will supply much needed medical care to some of the most remote areas along the Amazon river. People are invited to donate their best baking to this charity event. These tasty delights can also be entered into a competition with a chance to win a prize. Entries can be submitted at the memorial hall 10am-1pm before the doors open to the public at 2pm when the tasty delights will be served with tea and coffee and live music. The target is £20,000 which will be used to supply the medical care for the patients for a full month on board the boat. The team aim to purchase an ultrasound machine for the boat which will revolutionise treatment. Contact Matthew Hick 07708 398289.
