Fellbeck luncheon club: the first meeting this season will be on Monday, November 5 at the Half Moon Inn, Fellbeck at noon for 12.30pm. The speaker is Steve Pilkinton who will talk about Brimham rocks now and the future. He spoke about the history on his last visit. New members are always welcome. Cinema in the Dale: at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall. The second film of the autumn film series will be War Horse, showing on Saturday, October 27 at 7.30pm. War Horse, Certificate 12A, is an award winning First World War drama directed by Steven Spielberg, and follows the adventures of a young man, who enlists to fight after his beloved horse is sold to the cavalry. Tickets are available now from Pateley Bridge Pharmacy; Adults £5, Under 16’s £3, Family (two+two) £12.

Pateley Bridge and Upper Nidderdale Crown Green Bowling Club: will be holding their AGM tonight, Thursday, October 25 at 7pm in the Committee Room at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall. All members are welcome.

A night of live Acoustic Music: is to be performed at the Pateley Club on Thursday, November 1 at 42 High Street, Pateley Bridge. Free entry, but we will pass the hat. Guests welcome. Bar open at 8pm. The evening runs 8.30-10.30pm.

Pateley Bridge Ladies Club: will next meet on Monday, October 29 for a talk by Charles Beresford. Meetings are held at the Pateley Club at 7.45pm. New members and visitors are always welcome. For more info contact Pam on 711679.

Nidderdale Community Choir: is a new group with the emphasis on singing for fun. No auditions, no need to be able to read music, just lots of enthusiasm. Meeting in the Memorial Hall, Pateley Bridge, on the second and fourth Thursdays in the month, 7-9pm. £3 per session to include refreshments. For more info call Liz on 01423711867.

Pateley Bridge Dance club: the next dance will be on Friday, November 9 7.30–11.30pm at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall. Dancing to Philip Randles. Entry £7 on the door to include supper. There will be a raffle. Bring your own drink. All welcome. Details from 01423 711197 or 01423 711642.
