St Marys Church, Greenhow: would like to thank everyone who helped and supported them at their coffee morning and table top sale in September. They were very pleased to raise £465 for church funds. They would also like to thank all who donated tombola prizes to their car boot sale which was cancelled. The prizes were used for this event in the Memorial Hall.

Pateley Bridge Methodist Church: would like to thank all who supported their coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Tuesday, September 24. £290 was raised.

Pateley Bridge Ladies Club: will next meet on Monday, October 28 for a talk by Matthew Hick on Hospital Ship up the Amazon. Meetings are held at the Pateley Club at 7.45pm. New members and visitors are always welcome. For more info contact Pam on 711679.

Gardening Club: the next meeting of The Glasshouses and District Gardening Club will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall tonight, Thursday, October 17. Our speaker will be John Armitage who will be talking about The History of Bonsai. Playhouse Premiere: Grounds for Divorce has its world premiere at the Playhouse on Tuesday, October 22. It will then run at 7.30pm nightly until Saturday, October 26 with a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday. Specially written for The Playhouse stage by local award-winning writer Keith Burton, the play has all the elements needed for a fun-filled night out at Pateley’s gem of a theatre. Tickets - £8 - are available at the Playhouse on Saturdays between 2-4pm, or by telephoning 0781 696 1854 between 2-6pm Mondays to Saturdays. Patrons should note that this play is not suitable for children.

Pateley Bridge and Upper Nidderdale Crown Green Bowling Club: will be holding their AGM on Friday, October 18 at 7pm in the committee room at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall. All members are welcome.

Pateley Bridge Cricket Club: will be holding their AGM on Friday, October 25 at 7.30pm at the Pateley Club, High Street, Pateley Bridge.
