Rhubarb: is in season at Crimple Valley Fresh at the post office! I don’t know what I would have done without our local shop during the snowfall. I went up every day for something or other so that I didn’t have to drive my car on the icy roads. In fact I can also vouch for the fact that the lovely Steve is not only a dab hand at running a post office and shop but that he is also a knight in shining armour. He rescued me with his trusty grit when my car got stuck on the hill in the ice. I was the second person that day who had needed his help to get out, he and a very kind passer-by managed to manoeuvre me out! Thank you!

Pannal School Sports: news from Pannal Primary school about some of their excellent sports results. The Year 5/6 football team won the York City Schools Cup so are now through to the regional round in March. The Year 5/6 swimming team came fourth in Harrogate and District final which was a great result and finally both the Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 gymnastics team have won our cluster competition held at Rossett School so are now in the Harrogate final in March. Well done to all those involved.
