In your “Big Thank You” edition, the team at Supporting Older People were delighted to be able to thank all our volunteers and the organisations, groups and individuals who have done so much during the pandemic to help the older and vulnerable people in our community.

They have made an enormous difference by telephoning, shopping, making food and delivering food and prescriptions as well as sponsoring and delivering treats.

I would like to give a special mention to the Harrogate Brigantes Rotary Club, who donated £500 to our charity at the start of lockdown and also very kindly sponsored our recent afternoon tea delivery for 200 older people.

We are incredibly grateful to them and all the other groups, funders and individuals who have and are continuing to support us.

We feel very fortunate to live and work in such a special community!
