Letter: What a pity the Millennium footpath is impassable

Most days I walk through the Pinewoods in Harrogate along the Millennium footpath and have been very pleased and impressed with the wonderful improvement made to the walking surface on the Harlow Moor Road end.

What a great pity that it has been impossible to continue on across the road into Valley Gardens as the footpath there is impassable, unless you are prepared to walk ankle deep in mud.

Come on Valley Gardens, please get something done about it as the path is signposted as the route to Harlow Carr Gardens and not very impressive for visitors to the town, or locals who use this walk regularly.
