Letter: Tesco must sort out its delivery times

I drive to Leeds every week day and without fail between 7.45am and 8.15am find myself stuck on Knaresborough High Street because of Tesco delivery lorries parking on double yellow lines and/or on the pelican crossing.

In other towns and cities deliveries are banned at peak times, so why can’t Knaresborough do the same?

Tesco is open from dawn to night so why can’t they deliver at either end of the day instead of causing congestion on the high street?

If I parked on double yellow lines at that time I would quickly get a parking ticket.
