Letter: Signs are exactly what we need on the Stray

I refer to your article last week about the sign taken down giving cyclists instructions on Pinewoods track. Whilst its true this pathway is not for cyclists, this is exactly the sort of sign which should be installed on the Stray where it is permitted.
The Stray.The Stray.
The Stray.

There have been several occasions when I have been walking here and narrowly avoided a collision because cyclists do not sound their bells and furthermore do not give priority to pedestrians. This is a very dangerous situation and its evident that some cyclists regard the footpath as a speedway and even overtake pedestrians on the inside of the path where there is a wall, rather than on the open grass side, where there is room for manoeuvre.
