Letter: Holding council to account over Stray costs

Harrogate Borough Council was asked in the March 2 edition of the Harrogate Advertiser to confirm that they accepted the overwhelming vote in the referendum for no change in the future of The Stray.

The Stray

There has been no response.

“No change “ means “No change”.

Contrast that with the letter on March 9 when a Minister of State wrote to explain the Government’s position on schooling.

If there is ongoing examination into the future of the Stray, the council should say why and how much it is costing.

Harrogate Borough Council needs to be held to account now.

Incidentally, I voted for relaxation of the Act.
