OPINION: Join our charity events to raise vital funds - Sammy Lambert, Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity

I hope you all enjoyed the lovely sunshine we experienced recently – the Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) and Volunteer Team and I spent a lovely sunny day doing our 12 hour stepathon on June 1 in celebration of Volunteer Week.

The team, along with our fantastic volunteers, walked around Harrogate District Hospital continuously for 12 hours – covering a whopping 35.5 miles!

This epic challenge was incredible and I would like to personally thank all the volunteers who took part and to all of you who supported us on the day, by waving, cheering us on and donating!

The challenge was in aid of HHCC to raise vital funds to make life changing differences to patients and their families across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT).
