Oatlands Pre-school: on Mount Street is your local Ofsted registered pre-school offering sessional care in a warm and friendly environment. All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free pre-school/nursery education for 38 weeks of the year. This free education entitlement will give your child access to the Early Years Foundation Stage with many opportunities to socialise and learn through play both indoors and outdoors. There are a few places still available for three and four year olds from January 2013 (children can join the term after their third birthday) so if you are interested to find out more about the available sessions or to arrange a visit to the preschool please contact Alyson on 01423 871846.

Jumble Sale: it’s bag-a-bargain time at Oatlands Infants School with their famous jumble sale taking place on Saturday, October 27 between 10-noon at the school on Hookstone Road. There’s something for everyone with all sorts of jumble from clothes, bags and shoes to books, toys and bric-a-brac. Please come along and support the school. Entry is just 50p and all the money raised benefits the school. If you have any jumble you would like to donate, you can bring this into the school on Friday, October 26 or phone 819633 to arrange collection from your home. Hope to see you there!

Lil-Peeps Toddler Group: is held in the Community Centre on Mount Street every Wednesday afternoon between 1.30-3pm and is a non-profit making, volunteer run toddler group. They provide a welcoming atmosphere for parents and carers to meet and socialise with their children. Toys, craft making, singing and refreshments are provided for just £2 for the first child and £1 per sibling. This is a great way for parents/carers and children to meet and make new friends. No need to book, everyone is welcome so please just call in during term time.
