Coffee Morning: there will be a coffee morning on Saturday, May 11 from 9.45-11am at Oatlands Community Centre, Mount Street to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal for Syria. As well as refreshments there will also be a cake stall and raffle. Please call in, everyone is very welcome.
Stone Rings Close Garden Trail: on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 between 1.30-5pm, four houses on Stone Rings Close (Numbers 9, 10, 16 and 20) are opening their unique and differently styled gardens in aid of two charities - Samaritans and Perennial. You are welcome to park on Stone Rings Close and Stone Rings Lane, then follow the signs to purchase your tickets. There are quiz sheets available for some family fun. Entry is just £5 and children under 16 are free but no dogs please. There will be greetings cards for sale, a plant stall and refreshments will also be available. Due to the steep paths in the gardens, there is limited access for wheelchairs. Everyone is very welcome, so please come and support these two deserving charities whilst enjoying an afternoon exploring four very different gardens.
Wine Tasting Evening: on Friday, May 24 there will be a wine tasting evening at Oatlands Community Centre, Mount Street, to raise money for the community centre. It will be a relaxed evening with some wine tasting and a fish and chip supper. Tickets are just £12.50 and available from Ake and Humphris, Leeds Road or for further information about the evening please call Vic Smith-Dunn on 07970 521495. Hope you can make it!
