Ceilidh: Oatlands Mount Club are holding a ceilidh on Friday, October 11 from 8-11pm to raise money for Saint Michael’s Hospice. Tickets are just £5 and available from the club. The Manhattan Club Fundraising Events for Saint Michael’s Hospice: the Manhattan Club is dedicating the month of October to the You’re Inspired Challenge 2013 for Saint Michael’s Hospice, an event to help raise vital funds towards patient care at the hospice enabling more people in the area to benefit from specialist care at a time when they need it most. The club has arranged 14 events during October to raise as much money as possible for the charity. Please come along and support the events if you can. Here is a brief outline of the events planned.
Charity Karaoke: on Friday, October 4 from 7.30pm. There will be a £2 minimum donation to sing! Come and showcase your talent whilst supporting Saint Michael’s Hospice - everyone is welcome.
Children’s Cinema: on Sunday, October 6 at 1pm. The film showing will be Despicable Me. As this is a charity event, there will be a voluntary donation of £2 per person and all monies collected will go to Saint Michael’s Hospice
Ladies Night: on Friday, October 11 from 7.30pm. A fabulous night for just for the ladies! Doors open at 7pm and admission is £6 on the door with all proceeds going to Saint Michael’s Hospice. There will be entertainment, taster sessions, pampering, stalls and much more!
Singles Night with a Twist: on Saturday, October 12 from 8pm. Belles and Beau presents Show your Status Traffic Light Party.
Children’s Cinema: on Sunday, October 13 from 1pm. The film is yet to be confirmed but there will be a voluntary donation of £2 per person with all the proceeds going to Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Charity Bingo: on Wednesday, October 16 starting at 8pm. Please bring a donation for the raffle on the night with all proceeds going to Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Magic of Motown: on Friday, October 18 from 7.30-11.30pm. Admission is just £6 with all proceeds going to Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Retro Quiz and Gameshow: on Saturday, October 19 from 8pm. There are money and drinks to be won! Plus with great music it’s sure to be a great night!
An Evening of Reggae and SKA: on Saturday, October 19 from 7pm-midnight. An evening of all the best in 2-Tone, Trojan, Reggae and SKA, featuring Teenage Kicks Sound System. Admission is just £6 with all proceeds going to Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Sunday Market: on Sunday, October 20 from 10am. Come along to the Sunday indoor market and enjoy a variety of stalls, taster sessions and workshops. General admission is just £1 with all proceeds going to Saint Michael’s Hospice.
A Night at the Horse Races: on Friday, October 25 from 8pm.Come and have a bet or two or just come along to enjoy the atmosphere of a horse racing evening whilst raising money for a great cause!
Six Hour Team Dart Challenge: on Saturday, October 26 from 12pm. Eight teams of eight players will be taking to the boards at the YDP (York Dart Promotions) Manhattan Club 2013 six hour teams dart challenge with world record status applied for! Please come and support them, everyone is welcome.
Grand Finale: on Sunday, October 27 from 5pm. With live music, the big raffle draw and an auction plus lots more. Admission is just £2 for adults and £1 for children. Again all proceeds from the evening will be going to Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Halloween Horror and Film Night: on Thursday, October 31 from 8pm. More details to follow!

Harrogate Indoor Bowling Club: on Sunday, October 6 from 10am-3pm Harrogate Indoor Bowling Club, Nursery Lane, are holding an open day. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to try their hand at Indoor Bowling to call in and learn more about the club. It is a game for all age groups as well as for men, ladies, girls and boys.
