North Rigton Flowerpot Fiesta

This year’s theme is Flowerpots at the Movies.

Twenty seven different creations have been on display since May 28, all representing something movie related and made from various types of plant pots.

Creations ranged from Darth Vader to Shaun the Sheep, Dumbo to Frankenstein and not forgetting a bit of Minion mayhem here and there.

Hundreds of locals and visitors to the village have purchased trail maps from the Square & Compass pub to follow the flowerpot trail around the village – voting for their favourite at the end.

Feeling the force with first prize were Costantini Family for the Darth Vader creation while a special commendation went to the Child family for Shaun the Sheep.

Prizes were awarded at the Village Party in the Garden on Sunday.

Creations will remain in place as long as the weather allows – people are urged to take a look and decide on their own favourite.
