The revealing pictures were taken last Friday by David Leonard, former church warden at St Andrew's Church in Starbeck, from a vantage point high up in the church parapet of St Andrew's Church.

The church sits next door to the empty McColl's shop premises on Starbeck High Street which were hit by a major blaze just over three weeks ago.

Fire crew from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge and Wetherby spent hours tackling the blaze and the high street also had to be closed to traffic temporarily.
