In a major boost for shops in Harrogate town centre, the identity of the store which will take over the units vacated by H&M and Thomas the Baker on Oxford Street has been revealed.
As the Harrogate Advertiser first reported six months ago, the store which will fill the empty space in Victoria Shopping Centre is Next.
The major high street clothes retailer is to move its Harrogate branch from its current location on James Street with the aim of opening by Christmas.
And it will be a far bigger store when it opens - or reopens, rather.
The news was confirmed today by Next's regional PR manager Chantelle Craig.
She told the Harrogate Advertiser: "I can confirm the rumours you have heard are correct. We are aiming to be open by Christmas."
