Harrogate's new mayor enjoyed an entertaining time in a good cause at one of his first duties of his year.
Attending an event at independent bar Major Tom's Social, new Mayor Coun Nick Brown and Mayoress Mrs Linda Brown were VIP guests at the launch night of a brand new Harrogate musical.
Busker will receive its world premiere at Harrogate Theatre on Wednesday, June 22 but the civic couple got a sneak preview of several of this new musical's scenes and songs.
The local man behind the production, Keith Humphrey was on hand to introduce the show which focuses on the trials and triumphs of the homeless.
Members of the cast both young and older were also on hand to perform for the assembled guests and civic dignataries.
Busker runs from Wednesday, June 22 to Saturday, June 25.
It is directed and choreographed by Louise Denison and the musical director is Jim Lunt.
